Beer Release: Pêche-Barrel Aged Sour with Peaches
Boom Room Event
The Pêche is a tart and dry Belgian style beer, spontaneously fermented in oak casks, combined with a peaches and a handful of apricots. The fruit was added to the barrels, specially chosen by brewer Kevin Welch, to maximize the spontaneous fermentation within each barrel. Using this as an inspiration over 4,000 miles from Brussels here in Minneapolis, Boom Island has created an authentic take on this Belgian stalwart. A perennial favorite, this distinctive style of beer has been known to introduce newcomers to the existence of peach sours and the joys and complexities of the Belgian style of brewing....
