When Boom Island opened 15 years ago, the mission was simple:
Brew the best Belgian-style beers this side of the pond. We were all about honoring the rich brewing traditions of Belgium and sharing them with Minnesota beer lovers.
Fifteen years later, a lot has changed. Our tap list has grown, our brewery has grown, and craft beer has evolved in ways we never imagined.
But through it all, our Belgian roots remain. From our flagship Silvius Belgian Pale Ale to the Belgian-inspired beers that still grace our taps today, we`re proud to keep that tradition alive while continuing to explore new styles and flavors.
Some things are worth holding onto.

As we count down to our 15th Anniversary, we`re cracking open the Boom Island archives and has uncovered another relic from our past…
Beer soap.
Apparently, 11 years ago, someone looked at a perfectly good beer and said, "You know what? Let`s wash with it." Honestly, we`re not sure if this was genius, madness, or the result of a very productive happy hour.
The real question is: Should Boom Island Beer Soap make a comeback?

As we get closer to our 15th Anniversary Celebration, we`ve been digging through the Boom Island photo albums and reliving some great memories.
This one takes us back to the early days when Jim was first introduced to our customers. A lot has changed since then, but the mission has stayed the same: brew great beer, build great friendships, and create a place where everyone feels welcome.
Fifteen years, countless pints, and one incredible community later, we`re still here because of you.
