Though we are no longer located there, Boom Island Brewing was founded in 2011 with the taproom very close to Boom Island Park. After a few years, we needed more space. So, in the Fall of 2019, we moved to a building that had more production space and a larger taproom in Minnetonka. When we relocated, we kept our name to maintain the connection to our roots in NE Minneapolis.

We have Von Hanson pretzels, T-Rex jumbo cookies, Popped Corn popcorn, Soft Pretzels with sauces, and fresh, handmade pizzas from Sorrento Cucina.
Food trucks are regularly outside Boom, especially in the summer. Future food truck visits are listed on our event calendar webpage.

Yup! Any food you want to bring with you is allowed.

No, we do not allow outside beverages. If alcohol is not your cup of tea, we have non-alcoholic options including water, sodas, kombucha, and NA brews.

Absolutely! Children are welcome to visit us with a parent or adult responsible for their safety and behavior, and must be closely supervised and respectful of other guests.

Yes! Our barrel area and community tables are perfect for small to medium-sized groups. If your group is large or you want something more private, our Boom Room is great for that! If your group is very large and/or you want to hold a private event in the entire taproom, we have options for that, too.

Inside, no. Outside, YES! Dogs are allowed on our patio space.
Due to license requirements from the Department of Health, dogs and business-prepared food items cannot be in the same space. This was not an easy decision to make, but it will allow us to offer more expansive food options, including pizzas, sandwiches, soft pretzels, catering, and other things in the future.
The only exception to this rule is for service dogs under the ADA Act. Emotional support animals are not service animals under the ADA Act and therefore must remain on the patio only.

Yes! We have sodas, seltzers with THC for on-site consumption (or to take home), and gummies to take home.
Customers are limited to 10 mg of on-site THC beverage consumption and will be required to open a tab for any THC orders until they leave.
